Morghan Bosch begins her fifth season with the club as the Girls 14 National Head Coach. She has led her team to a 23rd finish at the USA Nationals event and has attended USAV Nationals 3 times in the last 4 seasons. From Morghan's resume, her own goal is to "be a part of a volleyball club that puts the interest of the players first." Morghan brings to Coastal an experienced level of volleyball knowledge and skills from being a player and a coach at many different competitive levels.
Coach Bosch's volleyball career began locally where she was a member of a VHSL State Champion team. While at James Madison University, she was a member of the JMU Lady Dukes Volleyball Club.
Bosch's coaching experience began in Harrisonburg while attending JMU. She was a head coach for the Valley Juniors VBC from 2002-2005 and also the Head Coach at Turner Ashby High School for the 2003 and 2004 VHSL seasons.
Graduating with a 3.7 GPA and earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice, Morghan returned to Virginia Beach. She enrolled in post graduate courses to earn her teaching certifications. She coached for TVA during the 2006-2007 season, where she was the 16-1 Head Coach and the only JO’s coach in the Tidewater area to record a victory over a Coastal team.
Coach Bosch is currently the head varsity volleyball coach at Cox High School in Virginia Beach. Morghan is a special education teacher at Cox High School in Virginia Beach. She has post graduate certification in Teaching Autistic Children and a Special Education/Learning Disabilities teaching certification from the State of VA. In 2010, she completed a Special Education Research Master’s program with honors. Currently, she is working on her special education doctorate at Regent University.
Her hobbies are volleyball, volleyball, and volleyball. Her knowledge of the game and experience in coaching are assets to our Coastal volleyball program and her character speaks for itself.
