Jessica began to play Junior Olympic Volleyball when she was 11 years old for Chesapeake Juniors.  She ventured to TVA when she was 13 because she felt she  needed to play a more competitive game.  She came to Coastal to play at 17 when  the girls program was started where she finished her last 2 seasons of her Junior Olympic competition.  Over the years she also attended many camps such as  the Sports Performance Setters Academy in Illinois.

Jessica gained a full scholarship as she continued her volleyball career at Mars  Hill College (2005-2008).  She was a four year starter for the Lions as the  setter.  Jessica served as team Captain for 2007 & 2008 seasons.  She led the  conference in assists and digs many times through out her 4 year tenure as well  as notoriety for her blocking and kill ratio per match as a setter.  She also  notes that her tenure with the SAC Student Athletic Advisory position renewed  her belief that you should be productive as a team leader off the court in your  community as well as on the court.  She led many efforts in the community.  Jessica was most passionate about her efforts in fund raising for a family that  had lost everything due to fire.  They were not able to pay for their daughters  surgery she required due to the burns from the fire. Many fundraising efforts  took place over a two year span to help this family with those expenses.

Jessica graduated from Mars Hill in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree  in Physical Education (K-12).  She graduated with a 3.7 GPA.  She is presently  looking for employment in various school systems in the area.  After college, she gained the role as Head Coach for the Junior Varsity squad at  Western Branch High School.
