Summer 2012 is Here...

Coastal will be offering the Endless Summer Series of Collegiate Camps again this summer.  In addition, Boys' camps, Beach camps, and the Coastal Setter's Academy will also we offered.

Coastal Setter's Academy

We will be offering a "Setter's Academy" this summer to train all levels of setters.   If you have any specific questions or would like to sign up, please email us.

The Summer "PT" Sessions are back by popular demand...

GOALS: The overall goal of the training sessions is to provide the opportunity for the athlete to reach her highest potential technically, physically, and mentally as a volleyball player.

 Objectives: The volleyball athlete will be able to…
1.          Develop, practice, and refine her volleyball skills.
2.          Increase her knowledge of the game.
3.          Enhance her physical strength and stamina.
4.          Build confidence in her abilities.
5.          Strengthen her performance in volleyball tryouts: middle school, high school, and/or Junior Olympic tryouts.
 
PROGRAM: Training sessions will be offered to interested volleyball players. The focus will be on developing the “total volleyball player” through technical skill training, conditioning, jump and strength training, as well as understanding the mental aspect of the game. The sessions will be held at Tidewater Volleyball Center.
 
SCHEDULING: The focus of the sessions will be setting, hitting, defense, serve receive passing and middle hitting and blocking. Players can purchase single or multiple sessions at a time and use them when convenient.
 
STAFF: Each session will be coached by a Coastal staff member. 
  

“Get SET to APPROACH your potential” 

 The Volleyball-ginner series is for 7-13 year old players that are new to the game of volleyball. Each session will be focused on a specific skill, allowing each player to perfect their technique and their confidence in their volleyball skills. Skills will include forearm passing, setting, hitting, serving, and defense.

Conditioning Sessions...

  • We will work on enhancing a player's agility, speed, and strength, as well as balance, flexibility, and endurance.  
  • Each hour long workout will be a complete body workout out with exercises ranging from low intensity and low impact exercises such as deep stretches to high intensity exercises such as plyometrics.
