Ass't Coach Nikki Prock

Nikki Prock

Nikki Prock played four seasons of varsity volleyball at Frank W. Cox High School in Virginia Beach, Va., for head coach Claire LeBlanc ... She primarily played as a defensive specialist for the Lady Falcons, starting as a senior when the squad won the class AAA state title with a 28-1 record ... Prock tallied 331 digs and 48 service aces to earn first-team All-Beach District and first-team All-Tidewater honors, in addition to being a second-team all-state selection ... Prock also had 51 kills her senior season in 2004 and became the first defensive player in the Tidewater Region to receive first-team All-District, District All-Tournament and All-Tidewater honors winning two VHSL state championships with Cox High School. Throughout her high school volleyball career she played Junior Olympic Volleyball with Tidewater Volleyball Association (14-16) and Coastal Volleyball Club (17-18).

Prock continued her volleyball career at the University of North Florida, playing at the NCAA Division I level as the team's defensive specialist/libero. As a junior, 
she finished second on team in digs with 270 and second on team in digs/game with 3.29. She began the season with 14 digs against Georgia Southern (8/24/07). Prock averaged 3.38 digs/game in her last five matches. While in college, Prock got the opportunity to play competitive volleyball with UNF in Slovenia, Prague, Munich,and Austria. She has also played volleyball for Bringit Promotions in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Prock graduated from the University of North Florida in 2009, receiving Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Painting/Drawing, and Magna Cum Laude honors. Her senior year, she got a scholarship to paint in Venice, Italy and in Paros, Greece. She began teaching yoga for UNF Athletics and Group Fitness. After graduating college, Prock has completed over 750 hours of Yoga Teacher Training and has spent her time teaching yoga, painting, studying, and traveling. Most recently she volunteered for 8 months at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Massachusetts, where she taught yoga classes and workshops to guests, staff, and volunteers. She has two brothers, Nolan and Jay Prock, who both played volleyball and won state championships with Cox High School. Her brothers played local club volleyball for TVA and Coastal. Nolan now plays for Eastern Mennonite University.
