Coastal Volleyball Club

Megan Lavo joins the Coastal Volleyball staff in 2012, as the 13’s Gold head coach.  Megan just completed her junior year and first season for the Norfolk State Spartan volleyball team.  She competed in 84 of 91 matches playing three different positions, (Outside Hitter, Setter, and Defensive Specialist).  Megan was 2^nd in assists, 3^rd in defense and 3^rd in aces on the Spartan squad.  Prior to joining NSU, Megan earned All-Western State Conference First team honors and was voted Team Captain for her junior college, College of the Canyons.  Megan was continually rated in the top 10 for the conference in hitting percentage, serving aces and digs per match.  During Megan’s high school season in California she was again named Team Captain and was also named to the All-Santa Clarita Valley and the All-Foothill League first teams.  Megan led Valencia High School to first place finishes in the Foothill League all four years.  Megan’s extensive coaching experience began when she was just out of high school coaching a 12’s team which finished 50 spots higher than the previous year and then again the following year another 12’s team and a 16s team for Santa Monica Volleyball Club.

Megan was born June 18, 1991 to parents Kevin and Teri.  She is majoring in psychology and wants to become a sports psychologist.  She enjoys going to the beach, reading and spending time with her friends and family.
